Ted Talk: Why the best ideas come from play

Maxwell Pearce, a former Harlem Globetrotter, makes a funny and convincing case for the importance of staying playful, wandering off the established path and trying things that may or may not be entirely sensible. His theory is that this kind of playful rule-breaking is what drives progress in every field. In this joyful talk, he shows why play isn’t the opposite of serious work — it may actually be one of its secret ingredients. Just don’t try the trick with your dog at home. Some boundaries are there for a reason. 🙂
